I started with a walk along the shore of Lac Léman, also known as Lake Geneva — the kind of view that just makes you stop in your tracks and never want to leave. 👌
Next, I stopped by the Musée Olympique (Olympic Museum), dedicated to the history of both the ancient and modern Olympic Games. A fitting spot for Lausanne, seeing as it's home to the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee. The museum opened on June 23, 1993, under the presidency of Spain's Juan Antonio Samaranch at the IOC. 👈
From there, my feet carried me to the Old Town, where the sightseeing pretty much planned itself: Notre-Dame Cathedral, Saint-Maire Castle, the Palais de Rumine, Saint-François Church, and finally Place de la Palud with its Fountain of Justice and the Town Hall. 🙆♂️ A little tip — wear comfortable shoes, the Old Town has plenty of ups and downs.
And that's how another day full of impressions came to an end for me. 💁♂️
