Good morning β π₯ Today I'm taking you south β a few snapshots from beautiful Eilat, Israel. π
Israel's southernmost city holds a real treasure πββοΈ β desert and sea, all rolled into one. πββοΈ A stunning resort with crystal-clear turquoise waters straight from the Red Sea. π π ποΈ π» And diving in its warm waters is one of the top attractions here. π€Ώ
And now for a bit of history... π€ During the War of Independence in 1949, the area was under Arab control. After Israel took it over, Eilat quickly grew into a booming resort town β helped, of course, by the highway built to connect it with the country's central and northern regions.
The city borders both Jordan and Egypt, and besides its Red Sea beaches, it's also known for the granite Eilat Mountains. So if you're craving some shade and a bit of adventure away from the beach umbrellas, the mountains are practically right around the corner. πββοΈ
