Tutrakan pleasantly surprised me — the town is so quiet and remarkably clean. 👌 You start walking down the streets and somehow, without even noticing, you slow your pace.
The most fascinating spot is the “Fishermen’s Quarter” architectural reserve — the only fishing settlement of its kind in Bulgaria. That alone makes the detour well worth it.
And the stroll through the city park was wonderful, with views over the Danube. My tip: save some time just for this part and simply sit for a while facing the river. ⚓
