Novi Pazar is one of those towns where the Oriental and the Balkan meet quite naturally, without getting in each other's way. Before diving into the city's bustle, we stop by Petrova Church β one of the oldest in Serbia.
The building dates back to the 9th century and was once the spiritual heart of medieval Stari Ras. Standing before it, looking at these stones, something quiets down inside you β it's rare to feel so close to so much history.
And then β the town itself. In Novi Pazar there's no need to hunt for sights, because the town itself is the experience. It doesn't try to impress you, but rather makes you feel like part of it, even if just for a little while. And honestly, it works. πββοΈ
