Lewes is the county town of East Sussex, sitting about an hour by train from London — which makes it one of my top picks for a day trip from the capital. 🚄
The little town is home to narrow cobbled streets, a rich history, and some great shops. 👌 The houses here are pretty striking too — the kind you just have to stop and admire. 🏠 And from the surrounding hills, the views over the town and countryside are simply gorgeous. 🙆♂️
There's also a Norman castle, but I'll tell you more about that later. 🏰 Lewes definitely has plenty to offer, and it's well worth a visit. 👈
