This is one of the best day trips I've taken from London. π You've probably never heard of Rye, and yet it's only an hour from the capital. π A medieval little town that looks like it stepped straight out of a fairy tale.
Cobbled streets wind past timber-framed houses and gorgeous cottages β the kind you can't help stopping to photograph every ten steps. πββοΈ And no, there's no chance of getting bored here: you can climb the church bell tower, visit the home of writer Henry James, and the town even has a 12th-century castle, famous for its beautiful architecture and sprawling gardens. π°
Rye is a quintessentially English experience β charming and unforgettable all at once. π€ To me, it felt like a scene straight out of an old English storybook. π€ It's already on your travel list, isn't it? π
