Stepping back in time at the Forbidden City, Beijing! โณ It was incredible to hear about its rich history and see with my own eyes where the emperors once lived. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Located right in the heart of Beijing, it's the largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. ๐ŸŒŽ For more than 500 years it served as the seat of emperors โ€” from the Ming dynasty all the way to the Qing dynasty. ๐Ÿ‘Š Today, the Forbidden City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

The scale, the architecture, and the stories behind these walls are truly inspiring. ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™‚๏ธ My advice: give yourself plenty of time and wear comfortable shoes โ€” there's a lot of walking here, and every courtyard opens up a new view onto the next.
