Stepping back in time at the Forbidden City, Beijing! ⏳ It was incredible to hear about its rich history and see with my own eyes where the emperors once lived. 👌
Located right in the heart of Beijing, it's the largest and best-preserved imperial palace complex in the world. 🌎 For more than 500 years it served as the seat of emperors — from the Ming dynasty all the way to the Qing dynasty. 👊 Today, the Forbidden City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 😮
The scale, the architecture, and the stories behind these walls are truly inspiring. 🙆♂️ My advice: give yourself plenty of time and wear comfortable shoes — there's a lot of walking here, and every courtyard opens up a new view onto the next.
