Arundel is located in West Sussex, England, about 1 hour and 45 minutes by car from London. π It's a small town you can easily explore in a single day, but its fame comes down to one thing above all β its magnificent castle. π°
Construction dates back to around 1042-1066 and was completed by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel, in 1068. During the English Civil War of 1642-1651, when the English Parliament clashed with King Charles I, the building suffered heavy damage β but was restored once again. This castle clearly just refuses to give up. πͺ
I recommend everyone pay it a visit. π In the meantime, enjoy my amateur photos. πΈ π
