In Ferrara I found something you rarely come across in Italy โ€” real calm and quiet. ๐Ÿ™†โ€โ™‚๏ธ No pushing crowds, no phones held up in the air, just a slow, easy stroll through town.

I started my tour at the cathedral โ€” just imagine, it's nearly 900 years old! โ›ช Its faรงade blends Renaissance and Romanesque style, and it can easily keep you standing there longer than you'd planned. ๐Ÿ‘ˆ

After that I headed to the Este Castle. ๐Ÿ‘๏ธโ€๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ For centuries, decisions affecting the city's residents were made right here โ€” standing in front of it, you can almost feel the weight of all those signatures. ๐Ÿ“

And since no stroll through an Italian town is complete without gelato ๐Ÿฆ... or a beer ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ˜‰, my agenda was pretty much set. Ferrara is packed with sights and absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
