Cascais is just a stone's throw from Lisbon – about an hour by train. 🚄 But if you have a car, drive along the coast instead, it's definitely the nicer way to go. 🚗 😉
I really fell for this little town. 🙆♂️ The whole time I was there, it felt like this must be where Portugal's millionaires live 😁 – pricey villas dot the waterfront, and the views are exactly the kind you'd pay good money for. ⚓ 🛳️ 🚤
It's obvious that in summer this place is packed with ocean-view cafés, and the beaches get crowded with tourists. And honestly, it's easy to see why. 👌 The sound of the ocean, the moonlight, and the glow of the evening restaurants create a seriously romantic atmosphere. 🥰
My tip: give it at least half a day and stay until evening – that's when Cascais truly shines. 😉
