Cascais is just a stone's throw from Lisbon β about an hour by train. π But if you have a car, drive along the coast instead, it's definitely the nicer way to go. π π
I really fell for this little town. πββοΈ The whole time I was there, it felt like this must be where Portugal's millionaires live π β pricey villas dot the waterfront, and the views are exactly the kind you'd pay good money for. β π³οΈ π€
It's obvious that in summer this place is packed with ocean-view cafΓ©s, and the beaches get crowded with tourists. And honestly, it's easy to see why. π The sound of the ocean, the moonlight, and the glow of the evening restaurants create a seriously romantic atmosphere. π₯°
My tip: give it at least half a day and stay until evening β that's when Cascais truly shines. π
