🏰 Pena Palace is a romantic masterpiece perched atop a hill in the Sintra mountains. ⛰️ Painted in bold, vivid colors, it looks almost like it stepped straight out of an animated film 🎨 — and it's no surprise it's one of the most visited monuments in Portugal. 👌
The architecture blends Moorish and Manueline motifs, so as you wander around, your eye keeps catching something new to admire. And then you look up and... the view over the surrounding hills and the Atlantic Ocean simply takes your breath away. 🌊 🙆♂️
A little tip from me: the climb up is uphill all the way, so wear comfortable shoes and give yourself plenty of time — this isn't a place to rush through.
