The city of Bern is home to Switzerland's federal government and parliament β making it the de facto capital, just without the official title. π And the city's emblem is a bear. π»
Bern's origins date back to the 12th century, and the medieval architecture has been beautifully preserved in the old town β walking through it truly feels like stepping back in time. π Ancient towers, gorgeous fountains, and bustling markets selling just about everything under the sun. πββοΈ
My advice: don't rush, skip the plan, and just let the streets guide you β that's exactly how I fell in love with Bern. It genuinely won me over with its wonderful atmosphere. π
