The moment we pulled over by the shore, we were captivated by the sheer scale of the place and the crisp mountain air. 🙆♂️ Vacha Reservoir is located near Osikovo, north of Devin, and is famous for having the tallest dam wall in Bulgaria – a full 144.5 meters. That number sounds impressive on its own, but it's only when you actually stand there that you truly grasp what it means.
The water stretches out for about 18 kilometers, creating a real sense of openness and freedom. The views along the road around the reservoir are absolutely stunning – the kind where every turn makes you want to stop and snap a photo. 🫶
My advice: don't rush. This is one of those places you visit for just a little while, only to leave already wanting to come back. 🤍💚❤️
