As soon as I started climbing toward the fortress, I felt like someone had turned back the dial on a time machine. 🤷♂️ The stone walls, the towers, and the surrounding nature create such a powerful sense of history and grandeur that you instinctively start walking more quietly, just so you don't break the spell. 📝
We wandered along the fortress walls and spent a long time admiring the breathtaking view of the surrounding hills. ⛰️ It's the kind of view that makes you stop taking photos and just look.
Visiting Tsari Mali Grad made me feel proud of Bulgaria's rich historical heritage. I'd recommend everyone set aside a day for this beautiful and inspiring place – and wear comfortable shoes for the climb. 👌
