Did you know that in the village of Skravena, Botevgrad municipality, stands the one-of-a-kind Ossuary Monument to Botev's rebels? 🏛️
Even today, the ossuary holds 10 of the 12 skulls of those brave and fearless men who set out to save their people, only to tragically lose their lives. 😔 I'll admit — I expected just another monument, but I walked away with a heaviness in my chest and one very clear thought: these men were the same age as most of us.
If you're passing through Botevgrad, spare half an hour and stop by Skravena. It's not a long visit, but it's the kind of place you won't forget.
