Sorrento… 🤔 It's not one of those places where you step off and your first reaction is "WOW!" 😮 Quite the opposite — it's a perfectly normal Italian resort town. Except it has something far more valuable than a first-second wow effect: its own charm. ❤️
The town perches on impressive cliffs that plunge straight down to the sea, and the view from afar is definitely worth it. Down among the streets, though, the picture is a bit different 😅 – narrow lanes, lots of people, even more tourists, and that feeling that the whole world has decided to stroll through here at exactly this moment. 😂
🍋 And if there's one thing that will inevitably remind you which part of Italy you're in, it's the lemons. They're everywhere — in the shops, on the souvenirs, in the sweets, the drinks… You start to think lemons in Sorrento have a permanent residence permit. 😂
But despite it all 💁♂️ Sorrento is worth it. 👌 I wouldn't call it a place worth traveling halfway around the world for, but as a starting point for adventures along the Amalfi Coast, it's a great choice. 🇮🇹🌊
And sometimes not every place needs to leave you speechless. Some just need to give you a good view, a decent coffee, a bit of Italian atmosphere… and a reason to move on to the next adventure. ☕✈️
