Salisbury Cathedral, also known as "St. Mary's," is the central archiepiscopal church of the Anglican faith in the English county of Wiltshire. ⛪ Its tower soars to 123 meters, making it the tallest church spire in the UK — you stand below, tilt your head back, and your hat practically falls off. 🙆♂️
Inside, another big surprise awaited me: the world's oldest working mechanical clock. 😮 It's been ticking away since 1386 and is housed right there in the cathedral. Just think of everything that's happened in the world while this mechanism has kept quietly doing its job. 👐
A tip from me: don't rush off after snapping your first photos — stay a few minutes in the silence and just listen to the clock.
