Today I finally got around to visiting it. 🙆♂️ The moment I stepped into the building, that childhood curiosity hit me again — the urge to touch everything, peek into every display case, and not miss a single label. 😯
The museum reveals the natural riches of southeastern Bulgaria and traces how they've evolved over the years. What impressed me most was the "Magical World of Rocks" collection — the minerals and rocks are arranged so thoughtfully that you can easily picture just how long and complex their formation really was.
I also took a keen interest in the exhibition on the flora and fauna of the Strandzha Mountains. I learned so much I didn't know before about the plants and animals that call this beautiful region home. Just as fascinating was the section dedicated to the birds of the Burgas Lakes — the photos and videos really bring home just how rich and varied life is around them.
This visit made me realize just how precious and unique the nature of our region truly is, and how important it is to protect it. I left with new knowledge and the urge to come back again someday. 🙋♂️
