The Alexandrovo Tomb: 2000 Years Under One Dome

This time, instead of a mountain trail, I followed in the footsteps of the ancient Thracians — and found myself face to face with murals over 2000 years old. 🏺 Spoiler: you walk out of there with a slightly shaken sense of time.

I visited the "Thracian Art in the Eastern Rhodopes" museum center, home to a replica of the famous Alexandrovo Tomb – one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in Bulgaria.

Built in the 4th century BC, it impresses not only with its architecture but also with its unique murals, which have preserved a fragment of the ancient Thracian world. 🎨 Standing before these images, you can't help but realize just how brief a single human life is… and just how long history can endure. ⏳

🇧🇬 Bulgaria has stories to tell. All we have to do is set out and discover them.
