🇮🇹 POMPEII… one of those places that photos simply can't capture. 📸
Today I wandered through the ancient Roman city that Vesuvius buried under ash during the catastrophic eruption of August 24, 79 AD. 🌋 The streets are still there, and so are the houses — mosaics, temples, and traces of a life long gone.
You walk, you look, and before you know it, you're picturing what it must have all looked like almost 2000 years ago. And that's exactly what struck me the most — here you don't just observe history, you literally walk through it. 🏛️
A little tip: wear comfortable shoes and bring a hat, because the city is huge and there's almost no shade. ☀️
