The moment I arrived in Mtskheta, I was hit with a genuine sense of wonder β as if time had hit pause and I'd stepped straight into a legend. This ancient city, founded, according to tradition, by the son of Noah, breathes history and spirituality in every stone step and every narrow street. They call it the "Second Jerusalem," and believe me, the place fully lives up to the name. βοΈ
But the real magic came when we climbed up to Jvari Monastery, perched high above the city. The view literally took my breath away: rivers merging somewhere in the distance, the rooftops of the old houses glowing softly in the sunlight. If you get the chance, make sure to climb up there β from that spot, you can see the whole of Mtskheta laid out before you like the palm of your hand.
Quiet, ancient, and leaving a mark that doesn't fade. Mtskheta is one of those places you carry with you long after you've left. πββοΈ
