We got up super early, stuffed ourselves with breakfast at the hotel (something tells me this level of pampering won't last much longer), and now it's time to say goodbye to "civilization." 👋
Our little bus is waiting outside, and we head off towards Machame Gate — that's where the real adventure begins. 🗺️🗻🥾 We set off straight away for our first camp, sitting at 2,850 meters.
And yes, this will be my very first night ever spent in the mountains. 🙆♂️🤷 Don't ask me how you go from zero mountain nights straight to Kilimanjaro — apparently, that's just how it happens.
