Pechera is the third largest town in Pazardzhik Province, after Pazardzhik and Velingrad. 🤌 And it has an ace up its sleeve – right at the edge of town stands the late antique and medieval fortress of "Peristera." 👌
As we climbed the stone steps and gazed out at the Rhodope Mountains ⛰️, we could feel that sense of grandeur and courage passed down from generation to generation. 👊 There are places where history simply breathes down your neck.
We also visited the "Cars of Socialism" museum. It's honestly worth it! 🙆♂️ If you're the kind of person who can recognize the cars of your childhood just by the sound of the door closing, you'll have a great time.
