The trail is well maintained and runs alongside the river, so the sound of rushing water accompanied us for pretty much the entire route. 🙆♂️ In some spots you cross little wooden footbridges, which make the walk feel even more pleasant and almost fairytale-like. 🚶♂️
There are rest areas built along the route, and we honestly made use of almost every single one — sometimes just to catch our breath, sometimes just to stand still and take in the view. What struck me most were the small waterfalls and the crystal-clear pools along the path — the kind where the water looks so transparent it seems shallow, until you actually step in. 👌
There are also shelters, restrooms, and even a fishing spot, which makes this place perfect whether you're after a quick stroll or a full day out in nature. And the further in we went, the more beautiful the trail became.
The rock formations give Struilitsa a special charm, and the combination of river, forest, and mountain air is truly refreshing. The walk isn't difficult and suits almost anyone — the perfect pick if you're after an easy weekend getaway in nature. My tip: wear shoes that aren't afraid of a little water, and set aside more time than you think you'll need. 🫡
