Albania was an unfamiliar, exotic country to me. 🙆‍♂️ And that's exactly why it surprised me so pleasantly – with its friendliness and kindness, its wonderful cuisine, and its incredible desserts. 🧁 I even tried the famous trilece and now I completely understand what all the fuss is about. 🍰

Durrës turned out to be a wonderful city – on one hand, historical landmarks at every step, and on the other, booming new construction. 💁‍♂️ They call it the "Eternal City" of the Adriatic 🤌 and that's not just a nice turn of phrase: it's one of the oldest cities in Albania, and its coastline is home to the country's largest port.

Centuries of history have left it with countless ancient archaeological sites and finds, including the famous amphitheater of the Roman emperor Hadrian – the second largest in the Balkans. 🙆‍♂️ Standing in the middle of it, you can't help but picture the packed stands.

Here I made memories that will stay in my heart forever. ❤️ Albania is wonderful – once you've been, you always want to go back, again and again. 🤷‍♂️
