Today even the road itself is part of the adventure! 🚙

We're leaving Zwartfontein behind and heading through Namibia's endless open spaces toward the Atlantic Ocean and Swakopmund. 🌊🇳🇦 There's no traffic here, no crowds, no towns every 20 kilometers. Just an endless road, desert, and the feeling that you're somewhere at the edge of the world. 🏜️

The landscape here reminds me of Mars – reddish terrain, rugged rocks, endless horizons, and the sense that we're driving across another planet. 🪐 And even though we need to reach Swakopmund, there's no way we could just drive on and miss all this. We stopped more than once along the way because of the views in front of us – one of those moments where you simply have to pull over, get out of the jeep, and take it all in. 📸

Our first stop is Solitaire – one of those small but iconic places along Namibia's roads. I actually had the chance to visit it yesterday, but today we pass through again, and there's no way we wouldn't stop. 😍 Everything looks like a movie set – the old rusted cars, the endless desert all around, and the famous apple pie that has turned Solitaire into a must-stop for every traveler. 🥧 Of course, we couldn't pass through without trying it! 🤷‍♂️🍽️

We continue on toward the Tropic of Capricorn – another one of those spots on the map where you just have to stop. And along the way, one view after another keeps unfolding – desert, mountains, endless horizons, and landscapes that make you pull over again and again. 📸

After hours on the road, Swakopmund finally appears before us. 🌊 An unusual African town with a distinctly German character, sitting right on the Atlantic Ocean, where the Namib Desert almost meets the sea.

In the evening we felt the cool ocean air and ended the day with fresh Atlantic fish and seafood. 🦪🍤🍷
