One of the most thrilling places in Rajasthan is Chand Baori in Abhaneri. 🧱 An ancient stepwell whose 3,500 steps descend like a giant geometric puzzle, all the way down to the water. 😯
It's believed to have been built in the 8th-9th century by King Chanda. 🤴 It's no longer in use today, but centuries ago this very well helped local people survive the harsh droughts. Standing on the edge, looking down, you can somehow feel just how much effort went into getting a single sip of water.
