The park and its "Pine Walk" are the most popular spots for a stroll and some relaxation, loved by visitors and locals alike. 👐 And here's the best part of the story: Queen Victoria once visited the town, and for centuries since, in memory of her visit, candles have been lit in the park each evening 🕯️, placed in special glass lanterns scattered across different parts of the park. The candles burn for exactly as many days as the royal guest spent in town on her holiday. 👸
A tip from me: save the park for the end of the day — the lights and candles turn the walk into a completely different experience.
