The Archaeological Museum in Burgas is housed in a beautiful old building on Bogoridi Street — the kind you walk past and think, "there must be something worth seeing in here." 💁♂️ And guess what — there is.
It was fascinating to explore exhibits gathered over 100 years and more. The oldest items date back to prehistoric times, including well-preserved ritual clay figures, reliefs, and statuettes. ✍️ You stand in front of the display case and try to picture the hands that shaped them. 😮
I was especially struck by the inscription of Khan Krum, discovered in the village of Malomirovo (a copy is displayed here). It was a real pleasure for me to visit the Burgas Archaeological Museum — a lovely little break from the sea and the bustle of the city center. 👐
