Let's start with the truth: the beaches here are pebbly. 🙃 On the plus side, there are plenty of them, most are free, clean, and lined with lovely beach bars where you can easily lose an entire afternoon. 🍹🍺
But Nice isn't just about the sea. Among its most fascinating sights are the ancient Roman ruins — the arena and the thermal baths — Place Masséna, the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas, the Matisse and Marc Chagall museums, the Cimiez Monastery, and a whole lot more that you definitely won't manage to see in just one day. 🙆♂️
Add to that a buzzing nightlife, countless restaurants, cutting-edge hotels, and art galleries — and you'll understand why the city is considered the capital of the French Riviera. 😉
The most beautiful street here is the Promenade des Anglais — a stunning seaside walkway tucked between the luxury hotels and the beach, lined from end to end with palm trees. 🌴🌴🌴 My advice? Walk it slowly, with no particular plan in mind.
All in all, the blend of old-world charm and modern sophistication here is simply perfect. 👌
